WEDDING
Devantier - Kamp
Thursday at the Lowood Lutheran A pretty wedding was solemnised on Thursday at the Lutheran Church,
the bridegoom being Mr. Ernest Devantier, eldest son of Mr. H. Devantier, Tarampa Estate, and the bride Miss Terese Kamp,
eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs R Kamp, Tarampa (writes ourTarampa correspondent).
The ceremony was performed by the Rev Wallatt in the presence of a large gathering of invited guests.
The bride wore a costume of silk volienne trimmed with silk insertion and arranged with satin rosettes and buttons.
The bridesmaids were Miss Lily Kamp, sister of the bride, (chief) and Miss Lizzy Devantier, each of whom wore a very becoming toilette.
Mr F Devantier was best man, and Mr F Kamp groomsman. The latter also played the wedding hymn and march on the Church organ.
After the service the party drove to the residence of the brides parents, where the wedding breakfast was served.
Pastor Wallatt, who presided, proposed the toast of the bride and bridegoom.
The toast was accorded musical honours and a number of congratulatory speeches were afterwards made.
The newly wedded couple were made the recipients of many useful and ornamental presents.
